Q: Is your firewood seasoned and ready to burn?

Yes. Our firewood is cut, split and seasoned before delivery. As with any naturally seasoned product, moisture content can vary slightly between individual pieces.

Q: What types of firewood do you supply?

Our hardwood can include maple, ash, oak, black cherry, birch and beech. The exact mixture depends on current inventory and availability. Contact us if you have a particular requirement.

Q: How do you measure your firewood?

A full bush cord measures 4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 8 feet long when properly stacked, for a total volume of 128 cubic feet. With firewood cut approximately 16 inches long, this normally forms three rows measuring 4 feet high by 8 feet long.

Q: How much firewood should I order?

The right quantity depends on whether you are heating your home, supplementing another heat source or having occasional recreational fires. Tell us how you use your fireplace, wood stove or outdoor furnace and we can help you choose a reasonable quantity.

Store firewood off the ground in a well ventilated location. Protect the top from rain and snow while leaving the sides open so air can circulate through the stack.

TYPES OF FIREWOOD

Maple
